Just FYI, rather than roll your own sign up form, there is a freely
available cgi script that will format *any* listserv(tm) command, can
handle any of the popular list-servers (majordomo, smartlist, listproc,
maiser, mail-list, MLP, manual lists and PMDF Mailserv). It can also be
extended fairly easily to any other mailing list manager.

Check out MailServ by Patrick Fitzgerald at:

    http://advicom.net/~fitz/www/mailserv/

You can download and install it locally or link to Patrick's site (which
is what I do). For an example of the latter check out my subscriptions
page at:

P.S. I've no connection to MailServ other than as a satisfied customer.
