Besides not advertizing your list (implicit or explicitly), it is
somewhat difficult to guarantee confidentiality of email, especially as
one NEVER KNOWS in public distribution systems which most email systems
employ, who, what, where, how the information is being transmitted or
archived.  Thus, encryption is called for for more assuredness.
