I hope you have a WELCOME file sent to all subscribers letting
them know what kinds of messages are (and are not) appropriate
for your list.
 
I co-own a list that discusses campus parking issues, and that
commercial subscribers are free to listen in and contribute as
long as they do not use it as a forum to hawk their wares, unless
it specifically relates to points raised by our principle audience.
 
This is all explained (and re-emphasized by private correspondence)
in the WELCOME file.
