I  don't  know the  inside  story.  However,  AOL  uses sendmail  8.6  to
interface to the Internet, and they  have said that they were planning to
upgrade to  8.7. This  version implements the  new Internet  standard for
bounces and (again, I don't know the  inside story) I'll bet that this is
when they are planning to make the bounce format change.
