My guess is that it is campus-based list.  Ask them to please set it up
with CONFIDENTIAL=YES and/or a SERVICE= keyword so as not to confused the
world with mis-info about your well-established list.

I've run across this type of thing before.  Most list-owners are willing to
listen  esp. if the newer list is not yet well-established.
