A lot of members from this list gallantly ran to my rescue when I had troubles.
Thank  you all! I plan to stick around and try to help other newbies when I can.
I did something really stupid!!
I used a wildcard to change status for all my current members to match my
updated defaults for new members. After I had several complaints about my  bad
choice of original defaults.
My group is all astir from what I did!! I should have done it in QUIET MODE! BUt
being new I goofed! Not only did I create a stir there I placed an extra burden
on my server sight. Don't do what I did!! It was stupid.
 
I'm great for creative thinking but I often make many mistakes in the proccess
of learning. I seem to learn everything the hard way.
I spent at least 60 hours setting up the list. I finally got it all running the
way I had planned in the beginning. Thanks to those that helped me.
