VM/CMS LISTSERV(R) has the following distribution abilities:

email lists (which we all know and love)
digests of email lists
DISTRIBUTE jobs (not list dependent and does not account for subscribers who
are NOMAIL)
GIVE a file
Subscription (AFD/FUI) to a FILE (package) -- either the file itself, or
notification that the file has changed; ditto for file packages

Non VM/CMS, esp. 1.8d beta, do not have the last two, and probably default
restrict the third.
