DEFAULT-OPTIONS are the subscription settings that are automatically set
for new subscribers. When a subscriber is on REVIEW, all messages are
sent to the list owner first, instead of the list. The list owner then
gets to decide if the message belongs on the list or not.

Putting QUIET before a command means that no notification is sent to the
subscriber whose subscription options you are changing. So they won't
know when you delete them from a list.

If you really want to keep everything quiet, you can also change the
settings your list's mailtpl so that the subscriber isn't even notified
when their message is sent to you for review.
