It would have been useful to me in tracking down a "problem" (read
troll) user that joined my list under various aliases.  If I could
have easily found out the subscribe dates of my users it would have
narrowed down my search considerably.

The way I would have to do it now (query listname for *@*) would have
resulted in a huge file not to mention the processor load I would
have created.  I couldn't do it without feeling guilty. :)
