IBMMAIL.COM is not a dial-in mail account service but a gateway to IBM's
inter-enterprise network, which is mostly based on PROFS/OV. The 79
characters limitation is due to PROFS and IBM can't do much about it
(unless you meant they *truncate* data past column 79 rather than folding
it, in which case they definitely should fix it). I think the error
message should be sent to the recipient rather than the sender. If the
recipient feels this is a problem he can always contact the sender after
the fact. If this is not possible, the following MAIL FROM: addresses
should trigger the removal of the message:

owner-*@*
*-request@*
