The gateway at American.Edu is the *big* one from which many places get
the list feed.  However, a lot of places have their own, local gateways,
and some of them style them as NetNews, but they are generally purely
local.  How well they work depends on how well they are set up.  If one
of them is causing you trouble you can always get rid of it.
