Evidently St Johns University is not on line at the moment.  No
list mail for about 36 hours.
 
I'd like to learn how to checkout what is and isn't down so I can
intelligently answer the queries I am getting.
 
I've seen posts to this list about the *results* of that kind of
inquiry, but not what the commands were that made them.
 
I have a shell account with netcom, no more *hands on* access
than that, and manage my list by e mail.
