When a user is said to be "served out", it means that the user is being
refused service by your LISTSERV as a whole, not with respect to any
specific list.  This can happen automatically if LISTSERV detects that
the user has sent ten successive unsuccessful commands (to prevent
message wars with other servers and random fumbling users), or manually
by a postmaster for whatever reason.  If LISTSERV serves a user out, it
will tell the postmasters, so they should know which way it happened.
The command to undo it, "SERVE user@node" can be issued by any user
except one who is served off.
