I'm not sure I see the problem.  The message was forwarded to you for your
approval.  It has not been distributed to your list (I just checked your
archives to be sure).  Unless and until you forward it back to the list
it won't be processed further.  This is the standard "Send= Editor"
behavior so I'm not sure what you expected setting it to do for you...
in any case it won't simply delete postings from non-Editors so you
never see them.
