Those "message opened" acknowledgements are being generated because
the *SENDER* - the person who posted the message to the list - requested
an acknowledgement. There is nothing that the recipient (the sender of
the acknowledgement) can do about it, and I doubt if there is anything
that the sysadmin at the recipient's site can do about it, either. The
culprit here is the *SENDER*. He/she may not even be using GroupWise -
there are other email packages that provide the sender the ability to
