For UNIX (online, not offline) you can use Pine 3.91 or Elm.  Both work
ok.  But you can't "edit" the posting, you send it on with the resent
field or you delete it.  If you want to actually edit it before posting
and have the From: field the same as the original poster you might want
to bone up on (whisper: address forging) skills.  Works great in those
very rare instances when needed (insert a Reply-to: field for surveys
where you don't want people bombing the list with survey replies, etc,).
