The use of 'quiet delete ...' suppresses only the notice to the subscriber;
it does not suppress the notice to the list owner. Having said that, I
would use 'quiet delete ...' because there is no reason to send notices
to the dead subscriber.

On those occasions when I have to manually delete a subscriber from multiple
lists, I usually send a message to the corresponding -request addresses
explaining the reason for the action. I believe that all our list owners
know that the site administrators can add and delete subscribers.
