Can anyone provide detailed technical information about changing over from
ListProc to ListServ?

I've reviewed the site reference manual and seen the archive conversion
file in the contrib area of the ftp site.

1. Can archives be moved over and imported into the web interface? Does
the archive conversion tool work well with ListProc 8.2.09 archive
structure? (this includes MIME digests and other items which were not
present in the 6.0c version such as archival by "digest" rather than
by "message")

2. Moving over subscribers seems fairly easy with the import
functionality, but can their passwords and mail options (ie digest, noack,
ack, digest-nomime) and date of initial subscription be moved also? Does
anyone have a script which parses ListProc .subscribers files and creates
the necessary commands for ListServ?

3. How easy is it to translate list configurations in ListProc to
ListServ? Does anyone have a script which parses the $LPDIR/lists/
$LISTNAME/config file and the mask therein from ListProc and converts that
to the apropos header info needed to configure a similar ListServ list? (I
have over 500 lists to move, so doing this manually will be extremely
painful.)

Any references, scripts, and pointers would be greatly appreciated. If you
have any personal experience with such a change, please let me know, either
on this list, or if you'd rather privately.

TIA!
