Why not just do a "normal" ADD job and let the LISTSERV(R) do its automatic notification?

ADD listname userid@node user_fn user_ln
ADD listname userid@node user_fn user_ln
ADD listname userid@node user_fn user_ln
--
END

Or simply do the bulk import and send an email to the entire list welcoming your new subscribers?  Oh,
then watch your inbox, spam folder, and/or daily error monitor for any bounces.
