This happens to me randomly, mostly limited to the Archive page (go
figure!). Restarting services never helps for long, - I have reboot
whenever it happens (once/twice a month). I WISH I KNEW WHY.... it seems
totally intermittent and arbitrary. It may not be, but I have yet to
link it with any other consistent behavior/event on the box.

This is at the top of the page asking for userid and password.  It is
there
even for people (like myself) who have saved passwords in cookies.  In
addition.  If you TRY to login, the system responds with a similar error
message at the top of the page informing you that it could not
authenticate
you.

Since the server also hosts other applications, I am reluctant to reboot
the
server.  But I have tried starting and stopping Listserv, but to no
avail.

Any suggestions????
