We had an interesting problem here over the weekend. It involved someone
from another site sending a large distribute job to our LISTSERV (without
our permission - but that's another story). The distribute job properly
sent a distribution file to PSUVM for further distribution and then
sent out many files to our mailer which of couse (since they were for
internet addresses) sent them to our SMTP. My question is this: Why do
distribute jobs seem to send an individual file for each adressee when
a list sends multiple addressees in a single file? Here are portions of
