Actually, you did not "fail" anything.  LISTSERV references generic
userids that IT "knows" who to redirect to, obviously based upon your
list definition headers.  Thus, I as a co-owner, can be e-mailed by
ldbase-l-REQUEST@LISTSERV (or @LISTSERV.NET) by those folks who don't
know either our userids (or the node at which LDBASE-L is hosted).
 
(The @listserv or @listserv.net are "real" host names and part of the
Global List eXchange feature implemeted at SEARN (aka searn.sunet.se).
The list-REQUEST is implemented more or less independently of GLX e.g.,
ldbase-l-REQUEST@ukanvm is not GLX.  When using the GLX feature: it ONLY
works with -REQUEST to non-confidential lists and does NOT work (by
design) to OWNER-list).
