I wrote earlier mentioning that my server was NOT responding
to email, but was responding to the Web interface.

Thanks for all the good suggestions I got.  They have helped me
to discover that the problem is that the server is not RECEIVING
mail.

I am running Listserv 1.8d, on an NT v4.0 server.  I checked the
"services", and both "Listserv," and "Listserv SMPT Listener"
are started.   After stopping and restarting these services again,
I checked the last entries in the *.log files:
  smtp-19990622.log
     22 Jun 1999 12:18:47 LISTSERV SMTP listener, version 1.0d
     22 Jun 1999 12:18:47 Copyright L-Soft international, 1994-99
     22 Jun 1999 12:18:47 Initialization complete.

               channel

I don't understand these logs too well.  Do either of the above
indicate a problem?
Is there another parameter on the NT server that I should
check?
