I have had no success with the following line in the inittab file on a
computer running Solaris 2.5. It just does not work.
 
ls:2:respawn:[path]/listserv/go bg
 
The following line produces the message that the program is being spawned
too often but it still does not boot the LISTSERV daemon.
 
ls:234:respawn:[path]/listserv/go bg
 
What is the correct thing to do under Solaris 2.x?
