   Thanks for the quick fix Eric.  That seemed to fix the problem.
 
   When I said loop I didn't mean there was no delay.  We processed
each item about 600 times a day (25/hour or a little over 2 minutes
per poll).  I'm not sure whey this didn't show up sooner if it was on
1.7c.  We had three errors from three different addresses (two
different users at one host and another user at another user) between
9/16 and 9/19.  We issued over 5660 information mail items for those
three jobs.
