What we do here at Virginia Tech is give each list that has a notebook its
own seperate minidisk - so for instance, for a list WOMBAT-L, we'd have
a directory entry
USER WOMBAT-L etcetcetc
MDISK 191 3390 4 etcetc
and then Listserv has a 'LINK WOMBAT-L 191 419 MW' or similar, so it's the
"real" owner of the disk.
Your mileage may vary, but it works for us for 300+ lists and about 50K
messages a day. Oh.. we use VMBACKUP to do the backups...
