I'm basically in full agreement, but the specific 18 sites you mentioned
don't fully eliminate my top 8.  (Thinks... didn't one of these start
working again?  Centauri?  Stardust?  sigh):

I'm thinking these are distribution paths for spam alerts and they may
be different accross the backbone.
