Hello,
A phishing spam sent to three lists yesterday. Two lists rejected the
post because the sender was not member of the lists (configured as
'send= private'), but the third list distributed it.
I compared configurations of the three lists, the only different is the
third lacked of 'send= private'. The default 'send' is private
according to the manual (or did I interpret wrong)?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For a list that does not allow non-subscribers to post, set Send=
Private. Send= Private
is the default.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I checked none of the editors approved the post. I sent post to test
list, and it behaved exactly the same (i.e. no 'send= private' and
anyone could send).
We used LISTSERV(R) for unix version 16.0 on Solaris x86 in VM.
Thank.
Shinn
