Thanks Eric, for articulating this so well. It is the same argument I
make every budget cycle. The good news is that this morning's meeting
resulted approval for continued renewal.

The problem has always been that Listserv is paid through our project
and since we have been flat funded for the last 15 years, resources are
getting scarce. The university (shortsightedly) uses Mailman so tying in
with them has not been an option.
