Actually......there is a RFC to make the sendfile (in VM/CMS terms)
functions available over the internet (Rick Troth at Rice is one of
the big proponents of it).  The discussion list that deals with
unsolisited file transferrs is SIFT-L@Ricemvm1 (.rice.edu).
