Basically you send a message to the mailing list address.  For
instance if the mailing list is called "listname" and LISTSERV is
installed on a machine named "listserv.example.com" you would send
the message to [log in to unmask]

With the above settings LISTSERV will respond with a request that you
confirm you want the message to go out.  (This is to prevent someone
else from using your mailing list by sending messages to the mailing
list using your email address.)  Follow the instructions in the
confirmation request to confirm that you do.
