Perl is indeed my friend, and I've written a LOT of scripts to do automated changes to lists. But I do a few at a time. And as Nathan and other pointed out, there's a lot of rope to hang myself if I make a mistake- I can mess up a lot of lists.

And I would still like an answer as to why Listserv is quite happy with the syntax but the Web configuration wizard is not!
