You could add the following line to the list header
Errors-To= [log in to unmask]
Where [log in to unmask] is the address to which the error messages should be delivered. You could setup a gmail (or other) account specifically created to receive error messages and deal with them en masse. LISTSERV should always have a legitimate address to deliver these messages.
That being said, one of the responsibilities of a listowner is to monitor the 'health' of their list(s). These messages notify owners of potential problems other than 'user unknown.'
