My spool queue is building since I put 1.8e into production.  I'm currently running with 19 smtp workers:

SMTP_FORWARD_1="18*lists.psu.edu;POOL=M-"
SMTP_FORWARD_2="lists.psu.edu;POOL=L"
DEFAULT_LIST_POOL="M"

Would running 30 for the first pool help?

On a related question.  Are the mail files in the spool directory processed fifo or lifo.
