Why should Eric and his competitors not charge for their business product?
Do you see the phone company giving away the first three months to get
you to install a phone?  What is wrong with $1 per month per reader?
If you have less than 40 readers, run the list by hand.  If you have
more than 40 that will pay $1 each, you are all set.    Dave
