An update for all:
 
     We discovered we had DASD problems on which the minidisk containing file
BITEARN NODES was failing periodically.  This then most likely answers question
#2.  LISTSERV will be monitored for restart tonight and tomorrow morning for
any repeat of those messages.
 
     Now for Eric:  Please respond to question #1 understanding I'm still not
subscribed to LSTSRV-L as of yet.  Also, where can we get some idea of what
the various modules & sub-modules error codes are?
 
     Anyone else on the List with any answers is encouraged to participate as
well but directly to me instead of or in addition to the List.
