Its a pain in the neck. A Listserv systems manager has to handle such  
requests. You need to change the name of all the relevant files for  
the list to the name new (including archived files). Depending on the  
list's header,  you might also need to change the list's notebook  
keyword. Honestly, when I get these requests, I just bounce them to  
our help desk and have them create a new list, then move the  
subscribers over to it. This takes all of five minutes with our  
setup, then I eventually close the old list.
