First, thanks for the help on the invalid character in the node address.
Several folks send me the RFC references.

Now, a new question:

I am trying to create a listname MAILTPL file. Everything is going
well, *except* I need to use a "special" character in the text. For
example, I am trying to put:

 Texas A&M University

Well, it seems the ampersand (&) is something that the mailtpl file
doesn't recognize (left overs from the old PROFS/SCRIPT days?). I
admit that I used to be a little familar with SCRIPT, but that was about
10 years ago. Anyone remember what the code is to get it to allow me
to use the "&"?

Suggestion:
Perhaps in future versions of Listerv, we can just leave out the text
formatting altogether? Imho, it's not needed, and tends to be a bother.
Especially in light of the fact that many Listserv's won't be running
on VM at all....
