I've had some confusion lately by people trying to subscribe to a list
which has Subscription= By_Owner set. When they send mail to ListServ,
they get two responses. The first is the output of their job, which
says something like

   > sub listname Bob Jackiewicz

The LISTNAME list is not open to automatic subscriptions. Your request is
being forwarded to the list owner:

List Owner <[log in to unmask]>

   Summary of resource utilization
   -------------------------------
    CPU time: 0.557 sec Device I/O: 178
    Overhead CPU: 0.044 sec Paging I/O: 31
CPU model: 3090 DASD model: 3390

They then get CC'd a copy of mail sent to the list owner, which tells the
listowner to forward the request to LISTSERV. However, some end users are
confused, and they think that they should forward the mail back to
LISTSERV. They, of course, get rejected because they're not the list owner.

My suggestion for the next release would be to put explicit instructions
that this message is intended for the owner of the list, and they are getting
a copy of the request. I would image it looking like this:

The LISTNAME list is not open to automatic subscriptions. Your request is
being forwarded to the list owner:

List Owner <[log in to unmask]>

A copy of the request is also being sent to Bob Jackiewicz <[log in to unmask]>
for informational purposes only. [log in to unmask] does not have to do anything
   with the mail.

   Summary of resource utilization
...

And maybe something similar in the actual request. Could this be done for
1.8b, per chance? Thanks.
