Since LISTSERV version 1.5n I have problems with the service area of my
local lists. New subscribers get the message that they are outside the
service area. We have addresses like [log in to unmask] where SARA is a sub-
domain of domain NL. The lists should be restricted to this subdomain so
I put SERVICE= LOCAL end LOCAL= SARA.NL in my listheaders. In the DOMAIN
NAMES file there are entries for SARA.NL and .NL (.NL for the other sub-
domains of .NL). I traced EXEC LSVBESTP: it does not see the SARA.NL
entry in the DOMAIN NAMES file because it does not start with a '.'.
I can see three possibilities:
1) I don't understand the service concept and do something completely
wrong.
2) The address syntax [log in to unmask] (without a node!) is
unusual.
3) There is a bug in LISTSERV
Can anybody help me?
