All LISTSERV requires is that the userid@host be 80 characters or less for
a subscription. Otherwise I don't think there is a restriction of any kind
(short of the usual SMTP restrictions) on the length of an address used to
post. If there were a lot of those old X.400 addresses would have bounced :)
It sounds like there is a non-LISTSERV related problem in getting mail to
the server from that particular domain, given the symptoms you've reported.
