The following backbone nodes have not yet installed 1.5j:
 
- IRISHVM: Nick  Laflamme has  graduated and he's  left IRISHVM.  I'm removing
  IRISHVM from the backbone until 1.5j gets installed there.
 
- CANADA01: Kent Percival gave me the userid of someone I could contact during
  his holidays  if there was  something urgent to do  on LISTSERV. As  I don't
  think that installing 1.5j is really urgent  (ie I'd rather wait for Kent to
  do it  himself than ask  someone who doesn't know  LISTSERV to take  care of
  it), I didn't contact this person. CANADA01 will remain in the backbone.
 
- UALTAVM: LISTSERV has been installed very recently there. Maybe it should be
  removed from the backbone until it  gets straightened up (it's still running
  with the march version of BITEARN NODES)?
 
- PSUVM: I would very much like to  see PSUVM upgrading to 1.5j and installing
  the july version of  BITEARN NODES so that I can start  testing DIST2 on the
  new backbone. I  would nonetheless like to thank PSUVM  for becoming part of
  the backbone, and  I hope CUNYVM will reconsider their  decision to withdraw
  from it.
 
By the  way I would  like to say  that I have never  had any problem  with the
BITNIC LISTSERV,  except for  the fact  that it  seems impossible  to convince
EDUCOM  that a  list is  supposed to  be *peered*  not centralized.  Ricky has
always been very cooperative and always installed updates in due time. Thanks,
