The following people have been coordinating these ARPAnet Special Interest Groups below. They have sent letters requesting BITNET sub-lists for their SIGs. So far, I have not been given notice of site offering to support BITNET sub lists for these SIGs below. If you can take a list, please contact the person assocated with the list. Then contact me at AKLOM@BITNIC, so your list can be documented in LISTSERV GROUPS. (Please list the peers also.) The third collumn represents the number of BITNET subscribers. I have obtained some of the email addresses from the letters the ARPAnet Coordinators sent. Again contact the coordinators below for the userids if possible. If a SIG is listed below and it already has a BITNET sub-list, please let me know. For example Harri Salminen (LK-HS@FINHUTC), mentioned he had 40 BITNET lists with ARPAnet equivalants. Send me the addresses on the BITNET lists and their equivalant ARPAnet addresses. LISTSERV GROUPS can then be checked before efforts are duplicated. Last a question about the backbone proposal. It sounds organized, but should the same backbone be used for say all 150+ peered lists on the network or should a different backbone be configured for each group of say 25 lists?? Comments welcome.
