I've just now switched the list to weekly notebooks to try to keep the files smaller. Would you guess there is something corrupt in one of the articles or is it just having trouble with the very large file? I'm tempted to edit the notebook and pull all of the attachments. Don't currently have a tool to do that. Is there an option to send attachments to subscribers but not put them in the archives? Here is a clip of the log:

(OK.. I've had my caffeine now ;)

Bill:

Check in /etc/security/limits - the 'listserv' userid should have an
entry 'data = -1'. The AIX default of 256M seems to be too low and
causes crashes while indexing.

You can change it via SMIT. Go to "Security & Users" / "Users" /
"Change/Show Characteristics of a user", and set 'Soft DATA segment'
to -1. Or from the command line:

chuser "data = -1" listserv

Also, check 'lsps -a' to verify sufficient paging space, although you'd
probably be noticing OTHER stuff having trouble too if that were the problem.

(LSOFT - can this gotcha be added to the install docs? ;)
