I've read discussion on SMTP via lstown-l (searn), ibmtcp-l (pucc),
lmail-l (searn) and of course various Usenet groups.
 
A simple TELL LISTSERV LIST GLOBAL /mail
 
(removing lists that say 'mailing') produce a number of other lists
that could interest you.
