I would simply do a SEARCH / GETPOST, and possibly use a DISTRIBUTE JOB (listserv maintainer or other authorization required), or just a long BCC: if the MTA supported it.

Or do a SEARCH, and send those results to the subscribers with instructions on how to edit / send that back to LISTSERV to get the items in which they were interested.
