Actually, the easy way to subscribe to a list would be to send that
identical command syntax to [log in to unmask], the Global List
Exchange (GLX) address.  All BITNIC would do is forward the request
on to the appropriate LISTSERV site anyway, and just take up a few
of BITNIC's clock cycles in the process. :)
 
And that assumes, by the way, that we are talking about a list running
on L-Soft LISTSERV.
