I posted last week about this, and Chris Barnes said he'd had complaints
from the same person about an unsolicited list subscription.
 
It appears that this one user at AOL has subscribed to our INTERCAT list
under three different names, and the subscriptions have been entered as:
 
        BiG [log in to unmask]                       Jack Enoff
        GUIDE [log in to unmask]                        Jack Enoff
        Net [log in to unmask]                       Jack Enoff
 
Note the strange character in the address -- that is keeping the list
owner from removing his subscription in the normal manner.  And notice
the subscriber's name is a bit suspicious.
 
Could anyone tell me how to delete this subscriber?  And does anyone
have any ideas as to how this could happen?  Any ideas how I can tell
whether *he* has issued these subscription requests, vs. someone
"spoofing" a subscription in his name?  I honestly don't know how the
latter can be accomplished, so I would appreciate any explanations
anyone can give me.
 
Also, are there any legal ramifications I should know about (his complaints
about the situation have been a little less than friendly)?
