To all...
Below is a current list of ARPAnet coordinators that have sent
letters requesting BITNET redistribution lists for their SIGs and have
not received offers for support.
If you can take a list, please contact the person associated with
the list. Richard Zellich, maintainer of the ARPAnet list-of-lists, has
expressed some concern that redistribution lists are being set up without
contacting the ARPAnet Coordinators. Unless you inform the ARPAnet
Coordinator that you have added a general redistribution list id to their
list, you risk the Coordinator accidentally removing the id along with
other BITNET ids come the new year.
Second, please contact me at AKLOM@BITNIC, so your list can be
documented in LISTSERV GROUPS. (Please list the peers also.)
Below, the third column represents BITNET subscribers on the list.
I have obtained some of the email addresses from the letters the ARPAnet
Coordinators sent. Again contact the coordinators below if userids were
not given. If a SIG is listed below and it already has a BITNET sub-list,
please let me know. LISTSERV GROUPS can then be checked before efforts
are duplicated.
Regards....Judy
