What do I have wrong?

We're switching over a list from one URL to another and I thought that
all we needed to do was transfer the .list file. But the list hosting
company that helping us set up the new list says that they keep getting
errors when they try to copy in the .list file.

Could the problem be that the OLD list is version 1.8d on a UNIX box and
the NEW list is version 1.8e on a Windows box?

If so, is there a way I can update the file before sending it?


Or, maybe I'm just barking up the wrong tree. My ultimate goal is to
just transfer the user list and they're settings. Any other tips on how
to do this?
